Originally grown as a walnut grove and pruned for nut production, the trees developed distinctive figure through the timber as they grew. This carved seat was cut from a section of the slab showing quilt figure, which appears as subtle ripples through the grain and shifts with the light across the shaped surface.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe turned legs are made from Black Walnut sourced from early plantings at Orton Bradley Park, Charteris Bay.
